State Award

  • The institute got the award as the best institute in the service of the disabled in A.P. in the year 2002.
  • National Award: President of India Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam presented the national award to Devnar Foundation as the Best Institute for the disabled. Dr. A.Saibaba Goud received it from the President on the 3rd December, 02 in New Delhi..

Moments of Jubilation

  • Our students have been securing 100% results in S.S.C. examinations and VII class Board exams ever since they started appearing for the exams in 1995.
  • One of our students Shiv Shekhar won the 3rd place in the All India Braille reading competition held in Delhi on 4th Jan,2000 and another student Premchand in 2002..
  • In the inter school essay writing competition on ‘eye donation’, our student Pawan received the 1st prize from the Governor of A.P.
  • Our students have been giving scintillating performances on many occasions and our student Amos got the ‘Best Cultural man’ award from LANCO.

    SPORTS
  • Two of our students Nanaji & Pushparaj represented India in the World Cup Cricket held in Chennai in Dec 2002 in which 6 countries took part.
  • Our student Kalishekhar won the All India Chess Competition held at Pune on 31-08-99.
  • In the All India chess tournament for the Blind under 18, held in Hyderabad in 2001, out of 54 participants from 5 States, our students got the first three ranks and 8 of our students were placed within the top 10 ranks.
  • In the Regional Abilympics organised by Amar Jyothi in Chennai, our students B.Nanaji, (below 15 years), B.Prathap Reddy (above 15 years got 2 gold medals in chess, a bronze medal for the junior category and our student Prasad won a silver medal for computer speed and accuracy.
  • Our school team led by Nanaji won the All India Under 18 years Cricket Tournament.
  • In the South Zone cricket tournament organized jointly by the Association of Cricket for the Blind in India and Karnataka Cricket Association, our student Nanaji scored 208* runs against Tamilnadu & was the man of the match, Our team was runner – up.
  • In the National Abilympics chess tournament conducted in Delhi in December 02, our student Kalishekhar won the bronze medal in the above 15 years category, B.Ramesh won a silver medal in the junior category, and Shiv Sekhar stood in 4th Rank. They are selected for the International Abilympics to be held in November 2003 at Agra.
